I run trails in Oregon and Washington States, the Pacific Northwest. I am lucky to live within a cornucopia. There are dunes, a desert, a temperate rain forest, a gorge, rivers, volcanoes, hot springs, magical cold springs, and even animal spirit guides (Who have more than once scared me). I hang on to a simple, portable camera, like a baton in a relay race. If I were to explain the perspective of these photos, I would say that since I am physically exerting myself, I am changing the chemical balance of my body, as I run through nature. This, in turn, changes what I seek to see and if I were to be bit meta”physical” about the experience, changes what nature wants me to see.
